Techies App Technologies, a leading app developer in Malaysia, partnered with CoffeeBot to create a cutting-edge business application that transformed the management of their vending machines across Malaysia and Singapore.
The Coffee Bot Operator App was designed to streamline the work processes of operators and technicians, integrating essential features such as internal live chats, document handling, and real-time monitoring of machine sales and status.
This powerful internal tool also enabled remote control of vending machines through robust API integration, ensuring that operations remained efficient and reliable.
Developing a comprehensive internal tool to manage over 2,000 vending machines presented several challenges. First, we needed to create a centralized platform to enhance the efficiency of more than 100 technicians and operators across two countries. Ensuring seamless communication within the team and enabling real-time data retrieval and remote control capabilities were critical to maintaining operational excellence.
A significant challenge was re-writing the API hosting on our own server to control the I/O operations of the vending machines. This required building a scalable and secure infrastructure to handle the complex needs of the machines while ensuring reliable communication between the app and the hardware. Additionally, we needed to develop comprehensive reporting tools that provided clear and actionable insights into machine performance, sales trends, and operational efficiency.
The Coffee Bot Operator App successfully centralized operations, significantly improving the efficiency and communication of CoffeeBot's internal team.
